Google announced on 8 Nov that it had released the November 2023 reviews update. The update had already been signalled last week when Google launched its November 2023 core update, which is still rolling out.
This is the last time Google will announce a reviews update, as they will be happening as a regular process in the future.
"Going forward, as the reviews system is now being improved at a regular and ongoing pace, we will no longer be posting about future updates on the status dashboard."
As happened last month with the October 2023 core and spam updates, Google is rolling out two updates at the same time. If affected, it may be difficult to know which update impacted your site.
Google shared a link to its guidance on writing high quality reviews. If you have reviews content and see a drop in rankings, you should check that you are still adhering to these guidelines and best practices.
